Walter J. Maracich
We at Midland Claims Service, Inc. are saddened by the loss of Walter J. Maracich. Known by the Marsh family for decades as "Wally", he was a long time employee of Midland Claims as an adjuster. He shared a close relationship to James A. Marsh, former President of Midland, so much so that they did many off work activities together such as dirt bike riding, boating and hunting. Mr. Marsh even brought Wally in as a minority partner in a non-claims business venture.
While Jim and Wally did not stay close after the sale of Midland and Wally's departure, they were always like two young men catching up on things when they ran into each other at a restaurant or shopping. We saw Wally out recently, wearing his infamous ball cap. His demeanor was happy, smiling and pleasant. None of us had any idea of the health issues.
Michael Marsh spent the majority of the summer of 1979 with Wally working hail claims in Miles City, Montana. They spent many an hour in the black Toronado that Wally was famous for.
RIP Mr. Maracich.
