WorkSafeMT becomes non-profit foundation

WorkSafeMT votes to ‘decouple’ from its ties with the Montana Department of Labor. The public / private partnership was truly a great way to begin getting the message of safety and SAW/RTW out in Montana, now distinguished as the most expensive WC premium cost in the United States. However, with economic times as they are, it was felt that having WorkSafeMT a separate non-profit foundation would eliminate the risk of the legislature removing budgeted dollars and increase the chances of significant donations from private organizations throughout Montana. Michael Marsh proudly serves on the Board of WorkSafeMT, and has been a member of the SAW/RTW committee of WorkSafeMT since its inception. Safety. For A Change. WorkSafeMT.
